The factory trawler vessel “Jose Marti” recently underwent an essential upgrade, necessitating the replacement of its aging davit and rescue boat. The latest guidelines mandate adequate illumination for both nighttime and daytime low-visibility flights on all offshore helidecks and helipads. In light of this requirement, Lavastica has chosen ORGA, a leading helideck lighting brand, for the illumination needs of a BP offshore platform situated in the Gulf of Mexico.

Lavastica received an order from DFDS to enhance the fire detection system aboard the “Kaunas Seaways,” a Ro-Ro/Passenger vessel constructed in 1989. The ship was originally equipped with an outdated and malfunctioning Servoteknikk MBS-802 conventional fire detection system, prompting the need for an upgrade.

Lavastica International B.V. was approached by Saipem for a renewal project involving A0 Class marine-approved roller shutters on the pipelay barge Castoro 10. Following a phase of engineering and design, Lavastica secured the contract to deliver these tailor-made roller shutters.

Lavastica International served as the representative for the Autronica fire detection system in the Pioneering Spirit project (formerly known as Pieter Schelte) from 2003 onward. The project was executed by Excalibur, a subsidiary of Allseas Engineering.

The contract to construct the launch jacket for the Gina Krog field development was granted to Heerema Fabrication Group. This jacket will house a pre-drilling wellhead module, requiring dependable flame and gas detection systems.
