The contract to construct the launch jacket for the Gina Krog field development was granted to Heerema Fabrication Group. This jacket will house a pre-drilling wellhead module, requiring dependable flame and gas detection systems.

The Jetliner, a Ro-Ro/Passenger vessel, was initially equipped with a Servoteknikk BMS-904 fire detection system, which has since become obsolete along with its spare parts. Lavastica presented a cost-effective solution to upgrade the system, prioritizing affordability for the customer.

Wintershall Noordzee has recently granted Lavastica International the purchase order for fire and gas detection equipment, along with signaling devices, intended for their upcoming platform project, RAVN.

Bluewater Energy Services sought the expertise of Lavastica International for the reconstruction of the fire and gas detection system aboard the FPSO Glas Dowr. Lavastica provided a comprehensive range of equipment from esteemed brands including Honeywell, Det-Tronics, MEDC, Tyco, and Siemens for the Glas Dowr project.

Lavastica International assisted Mitsubishi Diesel Engines in developing and producing new cooling water pumps. This collaboration was prompted by the maritime industry’s new IMO2 emission regulations, compelling Mitsubishi to separate their high temperature (HT) and low temperature (LT) cooling systems on diesel engines. Mitsubishi opted for a closed circuit fresh water LT cooling system for compliance.

Lavastica International provided and installed the fire detection system on the Fugro Meridian. The urgent need arose due to malfunctions in the old system, requiring a swift replacement within one week of inspection.
