The latest guidelines mandate adequate illumination for both nighttime and daytime low-visibility flights on all offshore helidecks and helipads. In light of this requirement, Lavastica has chosen ORGA, a leading helideck lighting brand, for the illumination needs of a BP offshore platform situated in the Gulf of Mexico.
New regulations state that all offshore helidecks and helipads will have to be well lit for night flights and daytime low-visibility flights. ORGA is one of the main brands in helideck lighting. Therefore, Lavastica selected ORGA for this project for a BP offshore platform based in the Gulf of Mexico.
For this application, Lavastica chose the explosion proof L85EX-G type LED helideck perimeter lights which comply to the regulations of ICAO, IMO and CAP437.
