M/V Norwegian Star – Bridge display renewal
The 294-meter cruise ship “Norwegian Star,” operated by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and built in 2001, features advanced multifunctional Hatteland displays on its bridge. These state-of-the-art displays serve a variety of critical applications, including the presentation of the alarm monitoring system, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS), and radar data.
COSL Semi-submersible rig HYSY 982 – Hernis camera upgrade
The semi-submersible drilling rig Hai Yang Shi You (HYSY) 982, under the ownership of China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) and currently operating for ENI since its delivery in 2016, underwent an upgrade for its explosion-proof camera system. In pursuit of this enhancement, COSL engaged Lavastica, seeking their expertise and solutions to ensure the optimal performance and safety of the rig’s camera system for its latest operation.
FPSO Serpentina – Deutz 16 cylinder fire pump engine overhaul
FPSO Serpentina, a formidable 307,000 Deadweight Tonnage (DWT) FPSO, is under the operational oversight of SBM Offshore and is owned by ExxonMobil. Boasting a substantial maximum storage capacity of 2.14 million barrels of oil, the vessel underscores the critical importance of maintaining peak performance in its firefighting equipment. This commitment to top-tier firefighting capabilities ensures the safety and integrity of FPSO Serpentina’s operations at all times.

Pullmantur Cruises has been a loyal customer of Lavastica for many years now, buying a very wide range of products and services. Therefore, Pullmantur contacted us for the renewal of their Damcos hydraulic valve remote control system.
Bluewater – FPSO “Aoka Mizu” Fire & Gas detection upgrade
Bluewater Energy Services stands as a key operator in the realm of Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) installations. These FPSOs undergo necessary adjustments upon deployment to new oil or gas fields to ensure optimal performance and alignment with the specific operational requirements of each location.
FPSO Mondo – Fog/Jet monitor upgrade – SBM Offshore/Sonangol
FPSO Mondo, owned by a collaborative venture between SBM Offshore and Sonangol, sought an enhancement for their on-board fire monitors. A contractor reached out to Lavastica for assistance, and in response, Lavastica provided a comprehensive solution by supplying a full set of SKUM FJM-80 WTO DIN oscillating fog/jet monitors. Notably, SKUM is a reputable brand in the firefighting equipment industry, ensuring the FPSO Mondo benefits from top-quality and effective fire control measures.
