Bluewater Energy Services is one of the main operators of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) installations. These FPSOs have to be adjusted when they get to operate on a new oil- or gas field. Now, FPSO Aoka Mizu has found a new deployment and some work needs to be done to fulfill the requirements and demands of the new field where it will operate. One of the installations that needs to be modified for the new job is the fire and gas detection system and that is where Lavastica was contacted.

After receiving the project specifications and requirements, we have thought of the best solution for the customer within our product range. In the end, Lavastica has successfully supplied an upgrade package consisting of Det-Tronics gas detectors, Consilium – Micropack visual flame detectors and MEDC signaling devices.

Lavastica has done a similar upgrade project with Bluewater some years ago for FPSO Glas Dowr.
