Lavastica supplied and commissioned the fire detection system on board of the Fugro Meridian. Due to malfunctioning of the old system it was needed to supply and install a new system within one week from inspection. A Salwico conventional fire detection system, produced by Consilium Marine,  was selected. Lavastica carried out the job successfully in time and the ship is now back in operation. The Fugro Meridian is a purpose built research vessel and is part of the Fugro fleet. Fugro is an international company who acquires and interprets earth and engineering data.
