Apollo Series 65 Integrating ionization Smoke Detector (55000-220APO)


The Apollo Series 65 Integrating ionization Smoke Detector (55000-220APO) uses a low activity radioactive foil to detect fires by irradiating the air in the smoke chamber and causing a current flow. If smoke enters the chamber, the current flow is reduced leading to an alarm. Circuitry in the Integrating ionization Smoke Detector protects against transient levels of smoke above the normal threshold for up to 20 seconds.
