Consilium Salwico NS-ISOLATOR Intrinsically Safe Isolator N1770

The Consilium Salwico NS-Isolator N1770 provides a secure interface between Salwico intrinsically safe (IS) detectors and line units installed in hazardous areas and the fire alarm system located in a non-hazardous area. By acting as a barrier, it enables safe communication between hazardous and safe zones while maintaining the integrity of the fire detection system.

Furthermore, the N1770 draws its power directly from the fire alarm panel through the loop or section wiring. As a result, engineers do not need to install a separate power supply or additional power cables, helping to simplify installation and reduce wiring costs.

In addition, the NS-Isolator does not require an earth connection. Consequently, operators can eliminate routine inspections and maintenance associated with earth wiring and connections, reducing ongoing servicing requirements.

The N1770 is supplied with three cable glands and incorporates convenient knock-out cable entry points on the enclosure. To ensure correct installation, engineers must mount the cable glands on the short sides of the enclosure.
