The Salwico HC100 A2-IS IP67 (5200047-00A) provides reliable heat detection in hazardous areas where both intrinsic safety and environmental protection are essential. Designed for use with all Salwico Fire Alarm Systems, the detector operates safely in areas with a high risk of explosion by linking through an intrinsically safe interface.

To hold against harsh operating conditions, the detector is provided complete with an integrated adapter and base. The detector and adapter are permanently moulded together and sealed with a special moulding compound that provides excellent resistance to humidity, moisture, and tremor. This rugged IP67 construction allows the HC100 A2-IS IP67 to perform reliably in challenging marine, Offshore, and industrial environments.

The detector uses a fast-acting thermistor heat sensing element to continuously monitor ambient temperatures and respond quickly to temperature changes. When an alarm condition occurs, the integrated LED provides a clear visual indication and remains lit until the alarm is reset at the fire alarm control panel.

The detector’s environmentally adapted design, combined with an easy-to-remove and clean mesh, helps simplify maintenance while ensuring long-term reliability in challenging applications.
