The Williams Fire Electro/Hydraulic High Volume/Remote Control Monitor is operated remotely through the use of a joystick and switches on a consolidated control panel. Flows water or foam from 500 to 8,000 gpm.
Manual operation is also possible through the use of hand-wheels. Two hydraulic actuators installed on the monitor enable remote control of horizontal position, as well as vertical trajectory. Maximum travel is limited to 360 degrees horizontal travel and from minus (-)70 degree to plus (+)70 degree vertical travel. Monitor traversing speed is at least 8 degrees per second. A direct-mounted linear hydraulic actuator enables remote operation for the nozzle’s discharge pattern, from wide fog to straight stream. Weather protective cowlings are provided over all gears and shafts.
Equipped with a standard non air aspirating fog-to-straight stream nozzle. With a matched Hydro-Foam nozzle, foam concentrate can be proportioned at the nozzle through the use of a jet ratio controller and atmospheric concentrate storage tank.
