The Apollo Isolating Base (45681-284UL) protects Apollo XP95 and Discovery fire detection loops and spurs by detecting and isolating short-circuit faults. By automatically disconnecting the affected section of the circuit, the base helps maintain operation across the remainder of the fire alarm system and minimises disruption caused by wiring faults.

The 45681-284UL constantly monitors the loop for short-circuit conditions and reacts immediately when a fault occurs. When it detects a wiring short-circuit, the base isolates the affected section to prevent the fault from impacting the wider system. Once the fault has been cleared, the isolating base automatically restores normal loop operation, helping maintain reliable fire detection coverage.

Designed for use with equipment operating on the Apollo XP95 and Discovery communication protocols, the base is loop powered, polarity sensitive, and accepts the Apollo XPERT address card for quick and secure address configuration of the associated device.
