The Apollo XPander Combined Sounder Visual Indicator Base (XPA-WB-14038-APO) delivers both fire detection and alarm notification from a single wireless device. Designed for use with the Apollo XPander wireless fire detection range, it combines audible and visual warning functions while eliminating the need for additional field wiring, making it ideal for installations where cabling is difficult or costly.
Using Apollo’s bi-directional monitored radio platform, the device continuously communicates with the fire alarm system to ensure reliable operation and system integrity. The control panel sees other wireless devices as standard addresses, making system adjustments and operations easier.
The base incorporates an integrated sounder, visual indicator, communication without wires, and battery compartment, creating a compact and efficient alarm solution. When paired with XPander detectors, it provides a complete wire free fire detection and message point from a single location.
Furthermore, Apollo has designed the detector chamber to minimise dirt ingress, helping to reduce nuisance alarms and maintain reliable performance over time. Features such as automatic drift compensation, DirtAlert™ monitoring, and brief alarm rejection help maintain reliable detector performance while reducing maintenance requirements.
The XPander system also supports FasTest™ technology and remote testing capabilities, significantly reducing testing and commissioning time.
