The Apollo XPander Combined Sounder and Optical Smoke Detector (XPA-CB-14016-APO) combines optical smoke detection and audible alarm notification in a single wireless device. Thus providing an efficient one-point solution for both fire detection and occupant warning. Specifically designed for use with the Apollo XPander wireless fire detection system, it is ideal for applications where installation of additional cabling is difficult or costly.

In addition the integrated optical XPander monitors the surrounding environment and quickly responds to visible smoke particles. Specifically helping to provide early warning of developing fires. Therefore once the XPander identifies a fire condition, the built in sounder turns on immediately to alert and support a rapid response.

Moreover, Apollo’s bi-directional monitored radio platform, the device continuously communicates with the fire alarm system to ensure reliable operation and ongoing supervision. As a result the control panel notes the device as a standard address, making system management easier.

Furthermore, the sounder offers a choice of four tone pairs, allowing alarm signals to be tailored to site requirements. The chamber is also designed to minimise dirt ingress, helping to reduce false alarms and maintain long-term performance.
