The Damcos DPI-B uses the flow of oil in the Actuator to give an indication of the valve position. The bypass valve controls the oil flow and is operated by an internal camera. When the actuator is in the middle position, the bypass valve will be open for oil flow in either direction. In the end-position, a non-return Valve what is in the bypass will prevent further flow of oil. The direction of the oil flow is registered in the flow indicator.
Damcos was formerly known as Danfoss Marine Systems and Nordisk Marine Hydraulik.
