The Hekatron 502-7 Ex-i is a detector base to connect and mount a detector from the SecuriStar detector family. The Hekatron 502-7 Ex-i is used in Ex Zones. The Hekatron 502-7 Ex-i is also compatible with the USB 501 series, but the USB-502 has a larger connection compartment inside the base.
Inside the Hekatron 502-7 Ex-i is a 6-pin terminal block to connect the base to the detector If necessary, an additional 4-pin terminal block can be fitted in the corresponding snap-in holder to create support points. The detector is fixed in the Hekatron 502-7 Ex-i by means of a bayonet connection. The base is provided with elastic inserts for entry of the installation cables.
