The Consilium Salwico SCI-A WP (5200120-00A) protects Salwico addressable fire alarm systems against short-circuit faults in harsh outdoor environments. Designed specifically for use on addressable detector loops, it helps maintain system operation by automatically isolating faulty sections of the loop when a short circuit occurs.

Furthermore, Consilium manufactures the SCI-A WP from durable PC/ABS material and seals the enclosure to IP67, providing excellent protection against dust, moisture, and challenging environmental conditions. As a result, the unit performs reliably in outdoor, marine, offshore, and industrial applications.

The SCI-A WP installs between detectors or manual call points on the addressable loop. If a short circuit occurs, the isolators positioned on either side of the fault automatically open the circuit and isolate the affected section. Consequently, the remainder of the fire detection loop continues operating normally, helping to maximise system availability and fire protection coverage.

In addition, engineers can easily configure the unit address using the onboard DIP switch, simplifying installation and commissioning.
