Tyco 5BI 5″ Isolator Base 517.050.018

The Tyco 5BI 517.050.018 is an Isolator Base that serve as a base for MX detectors, and as a protection device against short circuits on the MX addressable loop. The Tyco 5BI monitors the voltage on the loop, and when a short circuit is detected, it isolates the affected section whilst allowing the rest of the addressable loop to function normally.

When a detector that is fitted to the Tyco 5BI 517.050.018 shows a short circuit, the 5BI will isolate both sides of the loop from the faulty device without affecting other devices on the loop.
