The Tyco MCP260M 514.001.112 is a weatherproof Marine Manual Call Point, with indicator. The MCP260M is designed to give an alarm signal when the glass element is broken. The alarm signal is indicated by a LED indicator. An optional transparent hinged cover can be installed to guard against accidental operation.
The switch is held off by the edge of the glass. When the glass is broken, the switch is released, giving the alarm signal. This eliminates the risk of false alarms caused by glasses breaking on their own. A protective plastic coating on the glass element prevents operator injury and inhibits the release of glass fragments. A hammer is not required.
