The Tyco IF800Ex (514.001.062) is an intrinsically safe interface module designed to monitor external fire related contacts and communicate their status to the MINERVA MX fire alarm system. Typical applications include monitoring extinguishing systems, ventilation controls, fire door controls, and other auxiliary equipment that forms part of a fire protection system.
Housed in a robust glass-filled polyester enclosure, the IF800Ex is designed for use in demanding industrial, marine, and hazardous environments. Furthermore, its compact design and flexible connection options make it easy to integrate external devices into MX Digital addressable systems.
The module uses a double sided printed circuit board contained within a sealed potted assembly, helping to provide reliable long-term performance in challenging operating conditions. In addition, it maintains detector and sounder circuit monitoring throughout the system, making sure of continuous supervision and fault monitoring.
