Apollo XPander Sounder Beacon and CS Heat Detector (XPA-CB-14022-APO)
Please note: This product is no longer available, the recommended replacement is the: Apollo XPander CS Heat Detector (XPA-HT-11171-APO) with the Apollo XPander Combined Sounder Beacon Base XPA-WB-14037-APO.
The Apollo XPA-CB-14022-APO XPander Sounder Beacon and CS Heat Detector combines wireless heat detection, audible alarm signalling, and visual indication within a single device. Designed for use with the Apollo XPander wireless fire detection range, it provides a complete detection and notification solution while eliminating the need for additional field wiring.
The device communicates through Apollo’s bi-directional monitored radio platform, which connects to the fire alarm control panel via a loop-mounted radio interface. As a result, reliable communication is maintained between the control panel and all wireless field devices. Furthermore, wireless devices appear to the control panel as standard XP95 or Discovery addresses, simplifying system configuration and commissioning.
The integrated CS heat detector continuously monitors temperature conditions and reports its status to the radio interface. In addition to normal and fire conditions, the device can also communicate pre-alarm and fault states. Consequently, maintenance personnel can identify issues such as low battery levels, detector contamination, tampering, or weak radio signals before they affect system performance.
To further enhance reliability, Apollo has incorporated sophisticated signal-processing algorithms that reduce nuisance alarms. Meanwhile, automatic drift compensation and DirtAlert™ monitoring help maintain consistent detector performance throughout its operational life. In addition, FasTest™ technology and a remote testing facility significantly reduce testing and maintenance time.
