Apollo XPander Combined Sounder and A1R Heat Detector (XPA-CB-14017-APO)

The Apollo XPander XPA-CB-14017-APO combines an A1R heat detector and audible sounder in a single wireless device. Providing both fire detection and alarm notification from one installation point. Designed for use with the Apollo XPander wireless fire detection system, it offers an efficient solution for applications where traditional cabling is difficult, disruptive, or costly to install.

Using Apollo’s bi-directional monitored radio platform, the device continuously communicates with the fire alarm system to ensure reliable operation and ongoing supervision. When the detector identifies a fire condition, it immediately activates the integrated sounder and transmits an alarm signal to the fire alarm control panel.

The sounder offers a choice of 4 tone pairs to chose from, allowing installers to configure the alarm signal to suit the application. By combining detection and notification within a single unit, the XPA-CB-14017-APO simplifies installation while reducing the number of devices required.

Furthermore, the detector chamber helps prevent dirt ingress, reducing the risk of nuisance alarms and supporting long-term reliability. Features such as automatic drift compensation, DirtAlert™ monitoring, and transient alarm rejection help maintain detector performance while reducing maintenance requirements.

The device also supports FasTest™ technology and a remote testing facility, enabling engineers to carry out testing, commissioning, and maintenance more efficiently.
