Apollo XPander A1R Rate-of-Rise Heat Detector and Mounting Base (XPA-CB-11170-APO)

The Apollo XPander A1R Rate-of-Rise Heat Detector and Mounting Base (XPA-CB-11170-APO) detects developing fires at an early stage in areas where smoke detectors may not be suitable.

The detector monitors both the temperature and the rate at which the temperature rises, making it able to respond more quickly to developing fires than a static heat detector in many applications.

The XPA-CB-11170-APO is intended for use in areas with a normal ambient temperature below 50°C and where rapid increases in temperature do not occur during normal operation. In environments where sudden temperature fluctuations are expected, such as boiler rooms, Apollo recommends using the XPander CS Static Heat Detector (XPA-CB-11171-APO) instead.

Using Apollo’s wireless XPander technology, the detector communicates with the fire alarm system through a bi-directional monitored radio platform, reducing installation cabling and making system expansion simpler.
