The Apollo XPander XPA-CB-14021-APO combines an A1R heat detector, audible sounder, and visual indicator into a single wireless device. Providing both fire detection and alarm notification from one installation point. Designed for use with the Apollo XPander wireless fire detection system, it offers an ideal solution for applications where conventional cabling is difficult, disruptive, or costly to install.
Using Apollo’s bi-directional monitored radio platform, the device continuously communicates with the fire alarm system to ensure reliable operation and system supervision. When the detector identifies a fire condition, it activates both the sounder and visual indicator, providing a clear and immediate warning to occupants.
The integrated sounder offers a choice of 32 alarm tones and delivers an output of 92 to 106 dB(A) at 1 metre, depending on the selected tone. In addition, the device supports audible self-testing, enabling engineers to verify operation quickly during maintenance and commissioning.
Furthermore, Apollo has designed the detector chamber to minimise dirt ingress, helping to reduce unwanted alarms and maintain reliable performance over time. Features such as automatic drift compensation, DirtAlert™ monitoring, and transient alarm rejection help maintain reliable detector performance while reducing maintenance requirements.
The device also supports FasTest™ technology and remote testing capabilities, helping installers and maintenance personnel reduce inspection and testing time.
