The Tyco 601PH (516.600.002) is an Optical Smoke Detector which reacts to the whole range of fires from slow smouldering fires, producing visible particles to open flaming fires producing large numbers of very hot smaller sized aerosols.
The Tyco 601PH combines optical and Heat Detector technology to Detector clear burning fires, which in the past could only be easily detected by ion-chamber Detectors.
For normal ambient conditions, the Tyco 601PH behaves as a normal Optical Detector. When a rapid rise in temperature is detected, the sensitivity of the Detector will also increase and the presence of smoke will confirm a fire condition.
