The FHF dEV20 provides powerful audible warning and signalling in hazardous areas where explosive atmospheres may be present. Designed for continuous operation, it delivers clear acoustic alarms for warning, indication, and emergency signalling applications in industrial, offshore, and petrochemical environments.
Furthermore, the dEV20 produces sound levels of up to 115 dB(A) and offers a choice of 32 selectable alarm tones, allowing engineers to configure the most appropriate signal for the application. The sounder also supports two-stage alarm operation, with both alarm stages programmable via integrated DIP switches.
The dEV20 activates when power is applied and is available in a range of operating voltages. In addition, users can adjust the sound level in three 10 dB steps, providing greater flexibility for different installation environments and noise conditions.
To withstand demanding conditions, FHF manufactures the enclosure from seawater-resistant aluminium and equips the unit with an impact-resistant polyamide sound projector. As a result, the sounder delivers reliable performance in both indoor and outdoor installations. The robust housing achieves IP66 protection, while the terminal compartment uses Ex e increased safety protection to simplify installation in hazardous areas.
