MEDC dGW21 Signalling Bell

The MEDC dGW21 delivers a powerful audible warning signal in dangerous areas and demanding industrial environments. Designed for use in Group II explosive atmospheres, it helps operators warn personnel, attract attention, and signal alarm conditions in locations where reliable audible notification is essential.

Furthermore, the bell produces a sound output of approximately 105 dB(A) at 1 metre, ensuring the alarm remains clearly audible in industrial settings. With an operating frequency of approximately 1 kHz, the signal stands out against lower frequency background noise, helping personnel recognise alarm conditions quickly and effectively.

In addition, MEDC offers the dRGW21 variant with telephone ring initiation capability. This version activates automatically in response to a telephone ringing signal, providing a flexible solution for communication and notification systems.

To ensure reliable operation in hazardous environments, MEDC combines Ex d flameproof protection for the driver assembly with Ex e increased safety protection for the terminal chamber. The flameproof chamber houses the electromagnetic driver system, while the glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP) enclosure provides excellent corrosion resistance. As a result, the dGW21 performs reliably in offshore, marine, oil & gas, and petrochemical applications.
