MEDC DB4B high power explosion-proof Speaker

The MEDC DB4B delivers powerful and clear voice and alarm communication in dangerous industrial environments. Developed as the replacement to the MEDC DB4, it offers improved acoustic performance, clearer speech, and reliable operation.

Furthermore, the DB4B operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -60°C to +85°C, making it usable for extreme environmental conditions. MEDC manufactures the flameproof housing from glass reinforced polyester (GRP) and combines it with a rugged thermoplastic flare, creating a corrosion free speaker that performs reliably in harsh marine, oil & gas and industrial environments.

In addition, the speaker is available in 8W, 15W, and 25W versions, making engineers able to select the most appropriate model for the application. The integral transformer also provides multiple power tapping options, helping to make the system design and installation easier.
