SBM reached out to Lavastica for the replacement of the E/R discharge valve, specifically seeking a DN900, JIS 10k butterfly valve equipped with an electric actuator and position transmitter. Although the initial request specified an aluminum bronze disc, upon careful consideration of the application, Lavastica recommended a more cost-effective alternative: the Bray S36 carbon steel disc with polyester coating, providing an efficient and budget-conscious solution for the valve replacement.
Lavastica was contacted by SBM for the renewal of the E/R discharge valve. The request was for a DN900, JIS 10k butterfly valve with electric actuator and position transmitter. For the valve, SBM requested an aluminium bronze disc, but after reviewing the application, we have proposed a much more cost-effective Bray S36 carbon steel, polyester coated disc. For the actuator, we have selected the Rotork IQ20 series actuator.
Lavastica has also arranged the assembly, testing and ABS certification of this valve and actuator as part of the package.
