Crowcon SafEye Quasar 900 Open Path Gas Detector

The Crowcon SafEye Quasar 900 is an open path gas detector designed to provide continuous monitoring of combustible hydrocarbon gases across large areas. Using advanced Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS) technology, it analyses the atmospheric spectral fingerprint to detect gas leaks quickly and accurately, even in challenging industrial environments.

The system consists of a xenon flash infrared transmitter and a dedicated infrared receiver, providing detection distances from 7m up to 200m depending on the model selected. Furthermore, the Quasar 900 maintains reliable performance in harsh conditions where dust, fog, rain, snow, mechanical shock, or other environmental factors may affect conventional gas detectors.

In addition, both the transmitter and receiver are housed in rugged stainless steel enclosures with ATEX and IECEx approvals, making them well suited for challenging Offshore, oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial applications. Heated optical windows help prevent fogging and ice build up, ensuring reliable operation in all weather conditions.
