Consilium – EVC-PY-IS OPTICAL SMOKE DETECTOR (N1144)

The Consilium Salwico EVC-PY-IS (N1144) is an intrinsically safe conventional optical smoke detector designed for use in challenging areas with a high risk of explosion. Compatible with all Salwico Fire Alarm Systems, the detector provides reliable early warning of smoke and developing fire conditions while meeting stringent explosion protection requirements.

The detector uses an advanced optical sensing chamber with enhanced sensitivity to black smoke, enabling it to identify fire conditions quickly and accurately. As a result, it provides dependable smoke detection in environments where conventional detectors may not be suitable.

Designed specifically for hazardous locations, the EVC-PY-IS connects to the fire alarm system through an intrinsically safe interface, ensuring safe operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. The detector must remain connected to its base while energised and should only be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s safety instructions.

Furthermore, the detector is constructed using a durable ABS housing and is suitable for environments with relative humidity levels up to 95% RH (non condensing). Depending on the selected base, the detector can also achieve varying levels of ingress protection to suit different applications.
