Testifire Remote Control (25-001)

The Testifire 25-001 is an infrared remote control designed for use with the Testifire 1000 and Testifire 2000 detector testers. It provides a simple way to initiate and control detector tests when the standard automatic trigger cannot be used.

Under normal operating conditions, a Testifire unit starts generating test stimuli when it is positioned over a detector and the infrared beam inside the transparent test cup is interrupted. However, some detectors, including those with virtual chamber technology, do not have physical features that trigger this process automatically. In these situations, engineers can use the Testifire 25-001 to manually start the test sequence.

Furthermore, the remote control allows users to operate the Testifire while it is positioned at height. Simply aim the infrared transmitter at the Testifire unit and press the control button to start or stop a test, or advance to the next stage in the testing sequence. As a result, engineers can test a wider range of detector types quickly and efficiently without lowering the Testifire unit.
