The Consilium Salwico NS-DUV (N1121) delivers rapid flame detection by continuously monitoring for the ultraviolet (UV) radiation emitted by open flames. Designed for use with all Salwico fire alarm systems, it provides early fire warning in applications where smoke or heat detectors may not react quickly enough.
To minimise nuisance alarms, the NS-DUV combines high UV sensitivity with an advanced alarm algorithm that accurately distinguishes genuine flame signatures from potential sources of interference. This ensures reliable fire detection in demanding marine, offshore, and industrial environments.
Its rugged design withstands harsh operating conditions, while the wide viewing angle enables a single detector to monitor a large coverage area. When the detector enters an alarm condition, the integrated red LED immediately illuminates and remains active until the fire alarm has been reset. When connected to a CS3000 or CS4000 fire alarm system via an address unit, alarm indication is provided by the corresponding address unit LED, allowing operators to quickly identify the alarm location.
