MEDC BG3 Manual Call Point Exia, weather-proof

The MEDC BG3 is a manual fire alarm call point designed to provide reliable emergency alarm activation in hazardous areas and harsh industrial environments. Certified as intrinsically safe, simple apparatus, or uncertified, and rated to IP66 and IP67, it delivers dependable performance in applications where environmental protection and durability are critical.

MEDC manufactures the BG3 from glass reinforced polyester (GRP), creating a robust and corrosion free enclosure that withstands demanding offshore, marine, and industrial conditions. As a result, the call point maintains reliable operation even when exposed to moisture, salt laden air, and challenging weather conditions.

Furthermore, the BG3 is supplied in natural red GRP as standard, although MEDC can provide alternative body colours and custom labels to suit specific project requirements. A “Burning House” duty label is added as standard, while alternative duty and tag labels can be supplied upon request.

In addition, the built-in key operated test facility allows engineers to test the call point quickly and safely without activating a real emergency condition. Optional additions, including LED status indication, lift flaps, and line monitoring components, provide additional installation flexibility.
