The MEDC BG2 is a manual fire alarm call point designed to provide reliable emergency alarm activation in dangerous areas and harsh industrial environments. MEDC manufactures the BG2 from glass reinforced polyester (GRP), making the unit able to withstand challenging environmental conditions while keeping excellent resistance to corrosion. Furthermore, the robust enclosure makes it suitable for use in explosive atmospheres where dependable fire alarm operation is critical.

In addition, the BG2 incorporates a key operated test facility, allowing engineers to perform routine maintenance and functional testing quickly and safely. Depending on the application requirements, the call point is available in Ex de, Ex ia, or weatherproof versions, providing flexibility for a wide range of dangerous area installations.
