The Apollo Orbis Heater Base (ORB-HB-00020-APO) is designed for use in cold environments where low temperatures, condensation, or ice formation could affect the performance of fire detectors. By raising the temperature within the detector chamber, the base helps maintain reliable detector operation in challenging environmental conditions.

The ORB-HB-00020-APO increases the ambient temperature inside the detector chamber by approximately 10°C, reducing the risk of condensation and icing that could impair detector functionality. This makes it particularly suitable for unheated buildings, cold storage areas, loading bays, and other environments exposed to low temperatures.

For optimum protection against moisture ingress, Apollo recommends using the heater base in conjunction with a Waterproof Base Cover or Deckhead Mounting Box.
