The Apollo Discovery Heat Detector (58000-400APO) provides reliable heat detection in environments where smoke detectors may not be fitting. It shares the same profile as Apollo Discovery ionisation and optical smoke detectors but features a low airflow-resistance housing made from self-extinguishing white polycarbonate.

Designed for use in challenging environments, the 58000-400APO performs reliably in areas where dust, smoke, or particles in the sky that are present during normal operation. The detector is not affected by wind or atmospheric pressure, making it fitting for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.

The detector offers five response mode options. For the European standard version, these modes match up to the five heat detector classes defined in EN 54-5, making the device able to be set up for different application temperatures and operating conditions. Each mode incorporates a fixed-temperature response as defined by the relevant EN 54-5 classification.
