Apollo XP95 Ionisation Smoke Detector – VdS (55000-520APO)
The Apollo XP95 Ionisation Smoke Detector – VdS (55000-520APO) uses a low activity radioactive foil to detect fires by irradiating the air in the smoke chambers and causing a current flow.
Apollo XP95 Ionisation Smoke Detector – VdS (55000-520APO)
The Apollo XP95 Ionisation Smoke Detector – VdS (55000-520APO) delivers rapid fire detection by identifying the tiny combustion particles generated by fast-burning and flaming fires. Designed for use with Apollo XP95 fire alarm systems. The detector provides reliable performance across a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
The detector uses a low activity radioactive source to ionise the air within its sensing chamber, creating a small electrical current. When smoke enters the chamber, it interrupts the ionisation process and reduces the current flow. The detector immediately senses this change and sends an alarm signal to the fire alarm control panel, making sure of a fast response to developing fire conditions.
Designed to perform consistently in challenging environments, the 55000 520APO remains largely not affected by changes in temperature, humidity, and pressure from the atmosphere. In addition, Apollo has made the 520APO to resist electromagnetic interference (EMI) across a wide frequency range, making sure of reliable operation in environments with a lot of electric noise.
