The Apollo XP95 Ionisation Smoke Detector (55000-500APO) provides rapid fire detection by identifying the tiny combustion particles typically produced by fast-burning and flaming fires. Designed for use with Apollo XP95 fire alarm systems, it constantly monitors air conditions and delivers an early warning of developing fire situations across a wide range of applications.

The 500APO uses a low activity radioactive source to ionise the air within its sensing chamber, creating a small electrical current. When smoke enters the chamber, it messes with the ionisation process and reduces the current flow. The 500APO immediately notes this change and sends an alarm signal to the fire alarm control panel, making sure of a fast response to fire conditions.

Designed to perform reliably in demanding environments, the 55000-500APO remains largely unaffected by changes in temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure.
