The Apollo Intelligent Flameproof IR2 Flame Detector (55000-295APO) is designed to provide reliable flame detection in challenging indoor environments. Using dual infrared (IR) sensors, the detector responds to different IR wavelengths, making it able to distinguish genuine flames from invalid sources of radiation and reducing the likelihood of false alarms.

Designed for demanding industrial applications, the 55000-295APO detects flickering infrared radiation produced by flames and can identify fires even when the flames are not visible to the naked eye. The detector maintains reliable operation through contaminants such as oil films, dust, water, and ice, making it fitting for challenging environments.

Compatible with both Apollo Discovery and XP95 addressable fire alarm protocols, the detector also incorporates a remote optical self-test function to make maintenance simpler and verify correct operation.
