The Apollo Isolating Base (45681-284FRA) protects Apollo XP95 and Discovery fire detection loops and spurs by detecting and isolating short-circuit faults. By automatically disconnecting the affected section of the circuit, the base helps maintain operation across the rest of the fire alarm system and minimises disruption caused by wiring faults.

The 45681-284FRA constantly monitors the loop for short-circuit conditions and responds immediately when a fault occurs. When it detects a short circuit, the base isolates the affected section to prevent the fault from impacting the wider system. Once the fault has been cleared, the base automatically restores normal loop operation, helping maintain reliable fire detection coverage throughout the installation.

Designed for use with equipment operating on the Apollo XP95 and Discovery communication protocols, the base is loop powered, polarity sensitive, and accepts the Apollo XPERT address card, making installers able to quickly and securely configure the address of the associated device.
