The Apollo Marine 55000-772MAR DIN-Rail Switch Monitor Plus enables Apollo-compatible analogue fire alarm systems to monitor the status of external volt free contacts and report their condition directly to the fire alarm control panel. Designed for marine and offshore applications, the module provides a reliable interface between field devices and the detection loop, making operators able to supervise a wide range of alarm and monitoring functions.

The module continuously monitors one or more single-pole volt-free contacts connected through a single pair of cables and communicates their status to the fire alarm system. Furthermore, the Switch Monitor Plus incorporates additional functionality for monitoring flow switches, including a built-in time delay to prevent unwanted alarms caused by short duration flow conditions.

In addition, the 55000-772MAR includes circuitry that can be used to reset compatible beam detectors, providing greater flexibility when integrating specialist detection equipment into the fire alarm system.

The module reports four distinct input states to the control equipment:

• Normal
• Fault
• Pre-alarm
• Alarm

For clear local indication, the unit incorporates a red LED to indicate alarm conditions and a yellow LED to indicate fault conditions.
