The Apollo 55000-182APO XP95 DIN-Rail Sounder Controller enables fire alarm systems to control and monitor zones of externally powered sounders while continuously reporting their status back to the control panel. Designed for use with Apollo XP95 systems, the controller provides reliable sounder circuit management and supports a wide range of fire alarm and notification applications.
The controller receives commands directly from the fire alarm control panel via the loop and activates connected sounders using an external power supply. It supports both continuous operation and pulsed operation, making sounders able to operate continuously or in a 1 second on / 1 second off pattern. Furthermore, sounders can be controlled separately or as part of a group and synchronised with loop powered sounders for consistent alarm signaling throughout the installation.
To enhance system reliability, the module continuously monitors the status of the external power supply using an integrated opto-coupled monitoring input. When operating normally, the Sounder Controller returns a preset analogue value of 16. If the controller detects an open circuit, short circuit, or external power supply fault, it immediately reports a predefined analogue value of 4, making rapid fault identification and maintenance possible.
