When installed with the locking screws, the base provides ingress protection up to IP67, making it fitting for marine, Offshore, and industrial applications where dust and moisture resistance are essential. The detector address can be changed directly on the base using an integrated 8-way DIP switch, making installation and commissioning easier.
The base also incorporates an automatic Short Circuit Isolator function that protects the addressable loop without needing any changing. In the event of a short circuit, the isolator helps maintain operation of the remaining devices on the loop, making the overall system reliability better.
