K&G Pyralis Self-Contained Fire Detection & Extinguishing Activation Module
The K&G Group Pyralis is a patented detection, actication and communication module. The functionality of the pyralis is based on thermos-dynamic technology and is able to detect a rise of temperature on a room and converts this temperature change into electrical energy.
The K&G Group Pyralis is a patented detection, actication and communication module. The functionality of the pyralis is based on thermos-dynamic technology and is able to detect a rise of temperature on a room and converts this temperature change into electrical energy.
The thermally generated energy is stored in the module for the activation of, for example, aerosol suppresion units.
Besides the activation output, the module also has a potentional-free relay contact that sends a pre-alarm signal at the preset temperature. All of this is done without an external power source or batteries. The Pyralis is a fully independent and maintenance-free device, and does not require an external power supply to function.
There are 2 versions of the Pyralis available:
Version 1 – AF(Air Flow) – Intended for heat absorption through ambient air/temperature
Version 2 – SP(Sensor Plate) – A module with a contact plate that is placed directly on the object to be protected against the outer side of the volume that needs to be protected.
The Pyralis is available with the following pre-alarm and activation temperatures:
Pre-alarm Activation
65°C 85°C
85°C 105°C
85°C 130°C
