The Tyco 711PH 516.900.102 is an marine approved optical heat detector. The 711PH operates by sensing the optical scatter from smoke particles generated in a fire, and a rapid rate of rising temperature increases the smoke detection sensitivity.
The Tyco 516.900.102 is a low-cost conventional detector, and is microprocessor-based, offering features designed to extend the shelf-life of the detector and reduce installed costs to customers.
The 711PH 516.900.102 is used in conjunction with conventional 2-wire detection systems, where detectors will normally be connected in zones. Each detector samples the ambient air every 5 seconds. If a fire condition is detected, a signalling current is drawn.
