Tyco LIM800 Ancillary Line Isolator Module (545.800.004)

The Tyco LIM800 (545.800.004) is an ancillary line isolator module designed for use on Tyco Minerva MX addressable loops. It continuously monitors the condition of the loop and automatically isolates any section affected by a short circuit, allowing the rest of the addressable system to continue operating normally.

By isolating faults as soon as they occur, the LIM800 helps maintain system integrity and minimises the number of devices affected by a wiring issue. As a result, engineers can improve system resilience and ensure continued fire detection coverage throughout the unaffected areas of the installation.

Furthermore, the LIM800 helps addressable fire alarm systems meet the requirements of BS5839 Part 1 by ensuring that a short-circuit fault cannot disable more devices than would typically be lost on a conventional non-addressable circuit.
