The Tyco 601CH (516.600.004.Y) is a carbon monoxide (CO) detector designed to provide very early warning of slow-smoldering fires. By detecting carbon monoxide produced during combustion, it can identify fire conditions before visible smoke develops, helping to improve early fire detection and response.

The 601CH is particularly well suited to sleeping accommodation, as well as environments where heat detectors may not provide sufficient protection and smoke detectors are prone to false alarms. In addition, because carbon monoxide disperses more freely than smoke, the detector offers greater installation flexibility, making it ideal for large open spaces such as atria, warehouses, and complex buildings.
