The Tyco CIM800 (555.800.002) is an addressable contact input module designed to provide a simple and reliable way to connect external devices to Tyco MX fire alarm systems. Housed within the standard ancillary enclosure range, it allows engineers to monitor the status of external equipment and transmit this information directly to the fire alarm control panel.

The CIM800 provides two monitored input circuits, which can be configured as either two separate spur circuits (Style B) or a single loop circuit (Style A). Furthermore, both inputs support normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) monitoring, providing greater flexibility during installation.

In addition, the module continuously supervises the input wiring for faults. Engineers can configure the inputs to generate either an alarm condition or a short-circuit fault warning if a fault occurs on normally open monitoring circuits. As a result, the CIM800 helps maintain reliable system performance while providing clear fault indication.
