The Simtronics GD1 H2S is a laser open path gas detector designed for the rapid detection of hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) across large areas. Using advanced tunable laser technology, it delivers highly accurate and reliable toxic gas monitoring, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments such as offshore platforms, oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, and waste water treatment sites.

Unlike traditional point gas detectors, the GD1 H2S monitors an entire path between the transmitter and receiver, making a single device able to cover a much larger area. As a result, engineers can reduce the number of detectors required while maintaining effective protection against H₂S hazards.
