Consilium Salwico EV-DP 040040 Dual Optical Smoke Detector

The Consilium Salwico EV-DP (040040) is an advanced analogue addressable smoke detector featuring a dual-wavelength optical sensing chamber. Designed to provide fast and reliable fire detection, it delivers early warning of smoke while offering exceptional immunity to unwanted alarms.

Unlike conventional optical smoke detectors, the EV-DP uses two light sources with different wavelengths to analyse smoke particles more accurately. As a result, the detector responds consistently to a wide range of fire types while remaining highly resistant to nuisance alarms caused by conditions such as water vapour and steam.

Furthermore, the detector incorporates the distinctive OMNIVIEW 360° LED indicator, providing clear alarm visibility from every direction. This enables personnel to quickly identify activated detectors and respond more efficiently during an alarm event.

The EV-DP can be addressed from 1 to 254 using a dedicated programming tool, allowing simple integration into Salwico analogue addressable fire alarm systems. In addition, when installed on a splash-proof detector base, the detector can operate reliably in harsher environments where additional protection is required.

A specially designed fine-pitch mesh improves smoke entry into the sensing chamber while helping to prevent dust, insects, and airborne contaminants from entering the detector. The EV-DP also includes an output for remote alarm indication, providing additional installation flexibility.
